TIPO: A Different Business For Car

TIPO is a system that allows the user to interact with the car window. It provides a new way of riding and driving experience in cars. Allowing users to check more information through the window of the vehicle. TIPO, with layered augmented reality on top of the city, utilizes the outside scenery and will enable people to experience the city in a panoramic way.

Design Overview

The Problem

From October 1 to 7, 2020, there were over 515 million domestic tourist trips across the country, and 55.8% of them chose to travel by car, an increase of 10 percentage points from last year. In 2020, the scale of China's car rental market will reach 84.924 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.8%. During the pandemic, many people choose to travel by car.

However, I realized that when people travel by car and pass some buildings, people always need to open the map to see the name of the building and then search for the history of the building. After searching online, the car has moved away from the building, and they won't have a chance to see the real thing through their windows again. It is also hard for people to take pictures of the view while riding the car.

Solution

TIPO is a system that allows users to explore any city in the car by interacting with the vehicle by simply touching the window and car pillar. Users can see the past and present detailed information of the views they pass by.

TIPO will collaborate with the car manufacturer to install TIPO into the vehicle. We will provide a three-month free trial to the customer to try it. After that, we will charge 50 dollars per month.

Users can also experiment with this system while renting a car or purchasing a new one.
